Nearby Storm King Mountain Memorial Trail is a 3.5 mile loop trail located just outside of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This is a great trail for people looking for peace as it isn’t as busy as other nearby day hikes. This is also more difficult than other nearby trails, so the faint of heart should probably find a different path.

The Storm King Trail is a memorial to the 14 firefighters who were tragically killed fighting a wildfire on Storm King Mountain July 6, 1994. There is a lovely memorial to those men and women.

The trail is best used from April until November. Feel free to bring your doggos, but make sure to keep them on a leash! For more info, feel free to ask one of the helpful associates at Factory Outdoor.

 Distance: 3.5 miles
